More Korn pictures added

More Korn pictures have been added to the gallery.

They are pictures from the Projekt Revolution Tour in 2004, and Korn performing at Ozzfest in 2003.

Pictures of Jonathan Davis, Korn's singer dominate the galleries.

Aaron Lewis of Staind pictures

Staind pictures added to the gallery!

Aaron Lewis pictures, singer of Staind during X-103's annual May Day concert in Noblesville Indiana in 2003.

Out of all the times I had seen Staind in concert, I thought this was the best performance. Something about this Staind concert was just more intense. However, I do recall the set being much shorter than I expected which was a bit of a disappointment.

Pearl Jam Pictures

While digging through my archives I found some Pearl Jam pictures from a concert in 2003 in Noblesville Indianapolis.

The Eddie Vedder pictures make up most of the 2003 Pearl Jam gallery, but I also posted a few Stone Gossard pictures, Jeff Ament pictures, and a Mike McCreedy picture.

One of the most memorable aspects of this concert, was how much the whole crowd was into the performance. Not that this is probably unusual for Pearl Jam. Pearl Jam continued to play well past the venue's curfew, which was 11pm. Eddie Vedder even announced they get fined $1,000 for every minute they go over. However, that didn't stop them from playing a few final tracks, including everyone's favorite "Yellow Ledbetter." Pearl Jam is awesome in concert - as if it needed to be said.

Bon Jovi Rocks American Idol...

Bon Jovi Rocks American Idol???
Not really...

After a week of American Idol pumping up what a "rocker" Bon Jovi is/was, they failed to deliver when they performed last night. I understand that Bon Jovi was probably marketing their new single off their upcoming album, but I think they missed an opportunity to live up the hype and to let America know that they've still got it.

Instead, they "Made Memories" with this blah-ballad to the soccer-moms of America. And maybe it wasn't such a bad marketing move as all those soccer moms grew up listening to Bon Jovi when they did rock.

Blake Lewis singing Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name"

The progressive, remixed performance from Blake Lewis of Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name” on American Idol saved him from going home. The previous performance when Blake covered John Lennon’s “Imagine” was rather weak, uninspiring, and did not show off his vocal skills.

It will be interesting to see if Blake Lewis continues to put his unique style on the rest of the performances after the results he got this week.

Here is the clip.

Summer Concert Series Starts Soon

The summer concert series begins in just a few weeks. Yesterday I submitted to shoot the following artists at the end of May and in the first week of June.

  • 5/26/07 Chris Cornell with Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin and Operator
  • 6/2/07 Gwen Stefani with Akon & Lady Sovereign
  • 6/7/07 Brad Paisley with Taylor Swift, Jack Ingram and Kellie Pickler
  • 6/8/07 Honda Civic Tour featuring Fall Out Boy, +44, The Academy Is..., and Paul Wall & Cobra Starship

Wish me luck. I'm hoping to get approved for all artists, but you never know. Sometimes it just doesn't work out.

I've taken pictures of Chris Cornell, Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, and Gwen Stefani before, although Gwen was still with No Doubt, and Chris Cornell was with Audioslave.

Actually, if you search Yahoo! for "Chris Cornell pictures" you'll see that Concert-Pictures.com has the #1 spot in the search results.

Rage Against the Machine reunites

INDIO, California (Reuters) - Militant rap-rock group Rage Against the Machine reunited after a seven-year absence during a California music festival over the weekend, offering a sharpened version of their old message: fight the power.

Rage, which broke up when singer Zack de la Rocha left to begin an uneventful solo career, topped the U.S. pop album charts twice in the 1990s with releases steeped in leftist politics and anti-corporate tirades.

The group's reunion gig was the most-anticipated performance of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the desert town of Indio, about 120 miles east of Los Angeles. The three-day festival drew 60,000 fans and took place in temperatures reaching 103 degrees Fahrenheit (39 Celsius).

De la Rocha and his colleagues, guitarist Tom Morello, drummer Brad Wilk and bassist Tim Commerford, treated the crowd to a healthy dose of anti-war and anti-establishment songs such as "Killing in the Name," "Freedom" and "Guerrilla Radio."

The front man addressed the crowd only once between songs, when he likened the current U.S. administration to Nazi war criminals. "They should be shot as any war criminal should be," he said.

Rage Against the Machine has not made any long-term plans beyond three appearances at the Rock the Bells hip-hop festival in July and August.

Featuring more than 120 acts on five stages, Coachella drew fans from across the United States and from as far afield as Europe and South America. A traffic jam stretched all the way back to Los Angeles on Friday.
